The Man Behind the Madness of Undercover Tattooist
Behind every crazy character, ridiculous storyline, and unexpected disaster at Pappy's Tattoo Parlor stands one man — Shawn Jarvis.
A longtime tattoo industry veteran, entrepreneur, and creative mind, Shawn has spent years surrounded by the personalities, situations, and absolute insanity that come with life in the tattoo business.
And somewhere along the way, he decided it was time to turn that madness into entertainment.
From Tattoo Machines to Cameras
After spending decades in the tattoo industry, Shawn discovered that some of the funniest stories aren't the ones you make up. They're the ones you experience firsthand.
From old-school tattooers refusing to change with the times to eccentric artists, questionable customers, and the everyday comedy of running a tattoo shop, Shawn had plenty of material to work with.
Thus, Undercover Tattooist was born.
One Man. A Whole Cast of Lunatics.
What makes Undercover Tattooist different?
Shawn doesn't just create the characters. He plays them.
Tat-Pappy, Piercing Pete, Tattoo-Man Dandy Scavage, TatFu, Bob Roast, White Boy, Skippy, and the rest of the increasingly dysfunctional cast all come to life through one person.
Different costumes. Different voices. Different attitudes.
Same guy behind the camera.
Through creative editing, unusual camera techniques, and a healthy disregard for normal behavior, Shawn brings an entire fictional tattoo-shop universe to life.
Inspired by Real Life. Twisted for Entertainment.
Many of the characters draw inspiration from Shawn's years in the tattoo industry, people he's encountered, and situations that could only happen inside a tattoo shop.
Some characters are exaggerated versions of familiar personalities. Others come straight from his imagination.
And a few probably shouldn't be allowed out of his head.
The Madness Continues
Undercover Tattooist is more than a collection of comedy sketches. It's a growing universe of characters, interconnected stories, recurring jokes, and unexpected adventures.
From supernatural disasters at Pappy's Tattoo Parlor to the outrageous wrestling world of FTW — Freaky Tattooed Wrestlers — there's always another ridiculous story waiting to happen.
Created through Rata Tat Tat Productions, the show continues to grow one episode, one character, and one questionable decision at a time.
Shawn Jarvis
The man behind the characters. And apparently the only employee who shows up for every filming session.
New episodes every Tuesday.
